Information

VO Conversion Basics is a moderated forum which is designed primarily to provide an indexed information source on VO conversion and VO fuel processing. New information is constantly being added and "Newbies" are welcome.

For those who are just beginning the process of gathering information about VO conversion a basic tutorial is available HERE

For those looking for more detailed information on the components used in a modern (stage 3) conversion a tutorial is available HERE

Links to current vendors of VO conversion components can be found HERE

If you need information on the differences between "single tank" and "two tank" conversions read THIS

Infpop vegoil forum- This used to be the most active and informative international vegoil conversion forum on the web. Lots of friendly and experienced folks, many who have already converted their vehicles and are willing to share their knowledge with others considering converting to this biofuel. But the moderator is often gone for up to a month and personal spats break out which fill the archive with less than useful information. Searching for useful information is becoming more and more difficult as a result.  A new "useful information only" forum designed primarily for "newbies" is available HERE
It is indexed so it is easy to search and most of the currently applicable conversion info is easily accessible there. Near the top of that forum as a "sticky post" is a great place to find links and answers to common questions that "newbies" have. Get there directly by clicking HERE Before you post to this forum please read THIS first. Following the suggestions there will help you search for information and make you a bit more welcome.

The Frybrid forum- has some very interesting discussions..but is a freewheeling and minimally moderated forum so the archives are becoming harder and harder to search. Although it is a vendor provided forum the moderator does not moderate out negative comments about the vendors products...or even personal attacks on the forum owner. Beware the Politics section if you plan to post anything but ultra conservative opinions. But if you like jousting with trolls for entertainment this is the place for you.

The Vegoil/Diesel group is a handy well moderated international discussion..

Fusel is a great overview site for   Information on Diesel Vegetable Oil Conversions Systems

The Greasecar Forum is so poorly moderated it is nearly useless for those looking for information on VO conversion. Considered the "wild west" of VO fuel forums it is rarely posted to by those with accurate  information to share.  Please double check any information provided on this forum. There is less than a 50% chance it is accurate.

The Lovecraft Biofuel Forum is heavily moderated to remove any negative comments about this vendors products. And for very good reason. If it were not it would be swamped with public complaints about the vendor and the vendors questionable claims about his products.

The Neoteric Fuel/Plantdrive Forum was discontinued and its archives deleted. According to Ed Beggs (the moderator) the primary   reason it was decided to shut it down was customers used it instead  of email or phone calls and became frustrated when their questions  were not quickly responded to. This led the owners to believe that  the result might reflect poorly on their reputation regarding  customer service. It has been replaced with a FAQ and "testimonial"  page.

The Greasel/Golden Fuel Systems Forum was similarly discontinued and deleted and replaced with FAQ and Testimonial pages due to the effort required to remove complaints and negative comments about the vendors products.
